NEEYATI JOHNSON, NETWORK MANAGER

Neeyati Johnson is the Network Manager for the New York State Adaptation Practitioners Network at Rebuild by Design. Through coordination and convening, the Network brings together organizations in New York working on climate adaptation to share knowledge, develop relationships, and build their collective capacity. 

Previously, Johson worked on the Nature Conservancy New York Cities Team and as a Conservation Diversity Fellow at the Open Space Institute focusing on policy and stakeholder research. She was also a NYC Civic Corps member at the Gowanus Canal Conservancy, where she coordinated volunteer programs and supported the organization’s work on local advocacy on land use and water quality. Prior to her work in New York, Neeyati served on the Seattle Urban Forestry Commission serving as a liaison between the community members and government on local urban forestry issues.

She holds a B.A. in Business Administration with minors in Economics and Politics from the University of Puget Sound. Johnson is committed to promoting nature-based infrastructure and building strong collaborations to advance statewide climate adaptation.
