NYS Adaptation Practitioners Network Fall Convening 2026

ABOUT THE EVENT

The New York State Adaptation Practitioners Network Fall Convening brings together practitioners from around the state to seed new collaborations across geographies and disciplines, exchange ideas and lessons learned from statewide adaptation work, engage with emerging policy developments, and build practical connections that can move climate adaptation from planning to implementation.

Detailed event agenda will be available soon. The Convening will begin at 10:30am on Thursday, October 29th with a mixer locally that evening. We will begin around 9am on Friday, October 30th and wrap up with a site visit that will end mid-afternoon. The majority of the programming will take place at the Institute for Transformational and Ecosystem-Based Climate Adaptation (ITECA) at SUNY, Albany.

REGISTration fee

This year, the NYS Adaptation Practitioners Network is implementing a $100 registration fee to cover the operating costs of the Fall Convening. Registration fees will be collected through Rebuild by Design, housed in the Institute for Public Knowledge at NYU, and apply directly to convening expenses.

To support broad participation across the Network, registration fees will be waived for New York State government employees, if needed. We also recognize that registration costs may be a barrier for others. If the fee is an obstacle to your attendance, please email njohnson@rebuildbydesign.org and we will consider sponsorships for the full cost of attendance.
