The recipient of $150 million in federal, disaster-relief grants, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) has announced that it intends to prepare a report analyzing the environmental effects of a project planned for Carlstadt and surrounding towns, part of the Rebuild by Design project. A public scoping meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, July 6 in Moonachie to discuss the plan’s river and coastal, flood-risk-reduction measures.
