The APA Sustainable Communities Division (SCD) and Hazard Mitigation and Disaster Recovery (HMDR) Division are sponsoring a series of educational events and reception on Monday, May 8th. This series of events is being hosted with Rebuild by Design and the Pratt Institute.

Resilience Panel Discussion and Awards Reception (1.5 CM) – SCD, HMDR, Rebuild by Design, and the Pratt Institute are hosting a panel discussion focused on resilience and sustainability at the local, regional, and global level. Speakers include representatives from the Pratt Institute, Rebuild by Design, and 100 Resilient Cities. The panel presentation will occur from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. followed by a reception with beer, wine, soft drinks, and hors d’oeuvres from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. During the reception, SCD will present its 4th Annual Awards for Excellence in Sustainability and Student Essay Award Winners, and recognize communities participating in the Sustaining Places for Comprehensive Plans program.
