In 2024, in an effort to address drought, wildfire, extreme weather, flooding, and landslides, Rebuild by Design partnered with Mithun and ETC, Inc. to provide technical assistance to Ahora, Inc. – a Puerto Rico based nonprofit – an the municpality of Guayama to submit an application for an EPA Community Change for Equitable Resilience Grant.

In this role, Rebuild leads the planning behind the community engagement and plan proposal for converting an abandoned school building into a community resilience hub in Guayama, Puerto Rico.
