Funding: $110 million with funding from the Environmental Protection Agency, the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, the National Park Service, and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA).

BACKGROUND

In partnership with government agencies from New York, Vermont, and Québec, along with private organizations, local communities, and individuals, the Lake Champlain Basin Program coordinates and funds efforts to benefit Lake Champlain Basin’s water quality, fisheries, wetlands, wildlife, recreation, and cultural resources. This comprehensive program addresses flood control, ecosystem restoration, and water quality management, while balancing ecological preservation with flood resilience.
