Join us for an exploration into NYC’s landscape history with Eric W. Sanderson Vice President for Urban Conservation Strategy at the New York Botanical Garden and author of Mannahatta: A Natural History of New York City in conversation with artist and journalist Nathan Kensinger whose work explores New York’s historic waterways, and the building of flood protection around NYC. The conversation will be moderated by Christian Murphy, Ecology Coordinator at the Bronx River Alliance.
The conversation will focus on how New York’s ecological history informs the current and future areas that flood from heavy rain events and strategies to adapt to living with more water.
