Design and environmental review are advancing for stormwater management and resiliency interventions in the Mill River watershed. The Governor’s Office continues to work with the NYS Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation to obtain the necessary federal permits for Hempstead Lake State Park, and with HUD and the United State Fish and Wildlife Service, EPA and USACE on permitting. Work in Hempstead Lake State Park is expected to begin Spring 2020.
