March 15, 2014
1:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Bridgeport Public Library, Bridgeport
On two consecutive weekends, youth groups and other residents toured the Pequonnock River by bike with architects and ecologists, and participated in design workshops to propose strategies to redesign the water’s edge. On March 15, these events were accompanied by an afternoon festival about urban planning, water, and bicycles, featuring an exhibit of proposals by WB unabridged with Yale/ARCADIS to better protect Bridgeport from future storms, as well as a pop-up bike repair station, a demonstration of bike art, and live music.
