JUDY HUYNH, RESEARCH AND DESIGN ASSISTANT

Judy Huynh is a Research and Design Assistant at Rebuild by Design designing state-level resources to educate and engage local organizations, policy makers and elected officials. With a background in Urban Design from the University of Waterloo and currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Planning at New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, Judy is passionate about addressing the challenges posed by climate change through innovative research, design, and policy solutions. She helps build awareness of the impacts of climate change on communities across the country and mobilizes investments in resilient infrastructure.

Prior to joining Rebuild by Design, Judy worked with the Planning & Regional Development Department at the Port Authority, where she explored emerging technologies to enhance the quality of life for residents of New York and New Jersey.

Judy is committed to working on environmental justice issues and leveraging her experiences as an urban planner to make a meaningful impact on climate adaptation investments. She is dedicated to supporting Rebuild by Design’s mission of promoting community-centered processes for investing in climate-resilient infrastructure and advocating for federal disaster declaration policy reforms.
