Hana Katz is the New Jersey Program Manager at Rebuild by Design focused on driving investments in climate-forward infrastructure in New Jersey. She is passionate about purpose-driven service, community building, and directly helping both people and the environment. Hana views the relationship between humans and the environment as a reflection of our values and responsibilities. Her policy experience includes working in local and state legislative offices, where she crafted policy solutions aimed at addressing climate issues in New Jersey communities. She is particularly proud of the environmental projects she completed with the National Park Service and the United Nations.
Hana co-founded a youth climate activism and mentorship nonprofit with her friends and became a volunteer firefighter. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys hiking, painting, dancing, and caring for her plants. Always eager to learn new things, Hana is excited for the next chapter with Rebuild by Design.
Hana grew up in New Jersey and graduated from New Jersey City University in 2021 with a B.Sc. in Environmental Science, focusing on GIS, and a minor in Pre-Law.
