The Resilient Bridgeportresilience strategy is comprised two pilot projects (Rebuild by Design & Flood Risk Reduction Project) focused on protecting homes, businesses and infrastructure in the South End of Bridgeport from chronic and acute flooding in order to foster long-term prosperity in the neighborhood.
The project will provide safe routes for the neighborhood, demonstrate sustainable stormwater technologies for urban environments and address existing stormwater issues in the area Stormwater Components. The components to this project include a stormwater park serving the multiple purposes of passive recreational space and stormwater management, pump station, and future connection for Seaside Village stormwater connection.
