HUNTS POINT LIFELINES, APRIL 2016 UPDATE

Through a year-long local stakeholder engagement process, two priority categories were identified for feasibility studies: flood risk reduction and resilient energy. After careful consideration and stakeholder input, the City will be advancing feasibility studies in both categories and pursuing a pilot project in resilient energy. The City is excited to announce that it has selected a consultant for the feasibility studies and for conceptual design and environmental review (as needed) for the pilot project. This next phase of work will kick off late spring/early summer. The City is looking forward to continuing its work with all Hunts Point stakeholders on this critical effort, as well as coordinating with other ongoing community and agency resiliency projects in the area. Learn more»
