HUDSON RIVER PROJECT, REGIONAL COMMUNITY ADVISORY GROUP REVIEW

The Regional Community Advisory Group meeting took place earlier this month, where Community Advisory Groups from Hoboken, Jersey City and Weehawken worked together to develop a Purpose & Need statement for the project. This statement is among the first steps in the development of the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), and a necessary step in the process to move the Hudson River Project forward. Representatives from U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD), OMA, and Dewberry as well as Mayor Zimmer shared key information relevant to the advancement of the project.

Additionally, the Purpose & Need statement is a part of the Scoping document for project, which will be released for public comment on September 8.  A public meeting will be held on September 24 to allow the public to make comments on the Scoping document. More details to come.
