The Hudson River Project team conducted three neighborhood meetings for this summer to elicit residents’ opinions about various design options for infrastructure proposed in design zones 1-3 to reduce flood risk in Hoboken and adjacent parts of Weehawken and Jersey City. To complement the ongoing “design-zone” meetings, the N.J. Department of Environmental Protection has posted an illustrated survey on its project website to gather feedback. The input will inform the next round of “design-zone” meetings, which will seek opinions about the materials to be recommended for structures, public amenities, and open spaces along the alignment.
