REBUILD BY DESIGN RESILIENT CONNECTICUT COAST

February 27, 2014

9:00 am – 5:00 pm

7 Layafette Circle, Bridgeport

A two‐day design workshop where environmental experts, policy makers, design professionals, and stakeholders worked to consider the risks, challenges and opportunities for the Connecticut Coast and Long Island Sound, and the impact of climate change on the environmental, social and economic well‐being of Connecticut’s coastal communities.  The design workshop approached these issues at three scales: the neighborhood, city and regional scale and developed innovative design ideas to address that build resilience on Connecticut’s Coast and in Bridgeport.

Presentations included an overview of the project and introduction of the focus area for the workshop. Break out groups were facilitated by team members with a special session on Marina Village site redevelopment in the morning.
