Marilyn Jordan Taylor, dean of the School of Design at the University of Pennsylvania, presents key lessons and best practices from  Rebuild by Design, emphasizing how cities can (re)build in stronger, smarter, and more adaptive ways. Taylor is a special adviser to the competition, an initiative of the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that is spurring development and policy innovations in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
