In 2024, is Rebuild by Design is partnering with One Architecture and Urbanism and eDesign Dynamics to provide technical assistance to Mujeres de Islas – a community-based organization on the island of Culebra -the easternmost island of Puerto Rico’s archipelago and one of the most vulnerable areas to hurricanes. The project looks to design interventions to increase ecology, recreation, transportation habitability, climate resilience that can be funded through the EPA Community Change for Equitable Resilience Grant. In this role, Rebuild leads the planning behind the community engagement and plan proposal for building climate resilience in Culebra.
