Affordable Climate-Resilient Housing, established by the California Housing Partnership with state support, is an initiative to develop affordable housing designed to be resilient and address the severe housing affordability crisis compounded by growing climate impacts like heat waves and wildfires. With an innovative integration of retrofitting and financing mechanisms, this work combines affordability with resilience, benefiting vulnerable populations like veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities.
