BACKGROUND
The Washington State Climate Resilience Action Plan, compiled by the Washington State Department of Ecology in collaboration with multiple state agencies and community stakeholders, is a comprehensive, long-term, integrated framework for climate adaptation in the state of Washington. This broad scope initiative considers health impacts, emergency response, and equity, and incorporates nature-based solutions and plans for escalating climate impacts—wildfires, floods, and extreme heat.
