Layered Flood Risk Reduction Measures to meet Local Needs
NJ submitted their final application to the National Disaster Resilience Competition, which focused on layered flood risk reduction measures to meet local needs. The application highlighted the New Meadowlands Project as an innovative way of addressing issues of housing, business, infrastructure, and the environment in flood-prone communities. This kicks off a 60-day review phase, which will culminate in HUD’s announcement of successful Phase 1 proposals and invitations for Phase 2 applications.
