900 E 4th St, Los Angeles, CA 90013Building Forward LA is a new initiative that the Office of Mayor Eric Garcetti is launching in partnership with local and national organizations. It supports refreshing and “futurizing” policies and processes that influence how we design and build our city’s buildings. We are seeking input from experts in all fields to create a framework for identifying innovative ideas for future buildings. We will hear from experts on topics ranging from resilience and reuse to achieving net zero plus. Attendees will tour several knowledge exchange stations to dive deeper into areas of interest. Our aim is to help LA grow to be more sustainable and resilient. Join us for a knowledge exchange to kick-off this initiative. Our goal for these exchanges is to spark discussion from designers, academics, urbanists and technologists about how building rules and processes can be improved to work toward making Los Angeles a more sustainable and resilient city.
