RESILIENT BRIDGEPORT KICKS OFF THE NEW YEAR

The Resilient Bridgeport team is kicking off the new year with the “Design Conditions Workshop” in Bridgeport and New Haven, where the team will document potential pilot project sites, and work to establish the engineering and design principles that will be the foundation for the team’s efforts moving forward. The team will also be reviewing and advancing their community engagement strategy, and also scouting potential locations for a downtown design center, which will serve as the interface between design activities and community engagement. Outreach to residents and other key stakeholders will begin in February. A Yale urban design studio is studying corridors and resilience in Bridgeport. The outcomes of the studio/study will be presented to the Design Team for consideration at the end of the spring semester.
