Join the Municipal Art Society of New York and the NYC Mayor’s Office of Recovery and Resiliency for a comprehensive discussion about ongoing and upcoming efforts to build resilience in New York City, where Rebuild by Design along with other organizations working to advance resilience planning citywide will discuss their approaches.

Representatives from City, State, and Federal agencies will share updates and answer questions about their work to protect the city from acute shocks and chronic stresses, including those brought about by climate change. The City will present their Phase 2 application for theNational Disaster Resilience Competition, and engage participants in a series of exercises to offer feedback.

This interactive public event is a continuation of MAS’s ongoing work to facilitate conversations about the successes and challenges in building community-based resilience in neighborhoods since Superstorm Sandy.
