The City’s Office of Design and Construction showcased a model of the revised plan (above) for the Eastside Coastal Resilience Project (ESCR), and new videos showing the flythrough, walkthrough and flood gates at two Open Houses, where they presented different elements of the project on boards and received feedback from attendees. The ULURP action for zoning modification was certified in May and went to Community Boards Three and Six for comment in June. Both Community Boards voted to approve the action with recommendations that centered on park closure, ecology and mitigation. You can read the recommendations hereand here. Next month, there will be an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) hearing on July 31st. You can find more information on the hearing here. If you cannot comment in person, you can comment electronically here. Check out the latest presentations of the plan on the City’s website here.
