The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection issued its Final Environmental Impact Statement for the Meadowlands Project.  The NJDEP is recommending Alternative 3 as the Preferred Alternative.  The Proposed Project’s combination of both coastal and inland flooding reduction will constitute the most holistic flood reduction strategy for the five affected municipalities on the Hackensack River.  The Alternative 3 Build Plan will be constructed with the HUD-funding and will provide numerous co-benefits, including new recreational opportunities, water quality improvements, new and enhanced habitats, and aesthetic benefits. Learn more>>
