REBUILD GETS RECOGNIZED

The Rebuild by Design process, as well as the individual design proposals have received numerous awards over the last year, including recognition from Architizer, the New York Planning Federation, and the AIA. Individual projects have also received accolades from the Buckminster Fuller Institute, Holcim, and many more.

Congratulations to the BIG team for being widely recognized by many organizations for the BIG U, and to the SCAPE team for winning the 2014 Buckminster Fuller Challenge award, among others, for Living Breakwaters.

With all of our combined efforts throughout the competition and as we move forward, Rebuild by Design is honored and appreciative to have been selected as a Jury Winner for the 2015 Architizer A+ Awards, and to have received the 2015 New York Planning Federation Heissenbuttel Award for Planning Excellence and the AIA New York State Community Development Award, 2014.

In addition, the Architectural Record /Van Alen Institute Design Competition Surveyasked nearly 1500 designers from 65 countries about “the most interesting or influential design competition of the last decade.” Rebuild By Design came in fourth, following the 9/11 Memorial, Guggenheim Helsinki, and NYC Highline.
