Liv Scott is Rebuild by Design's Project Assistant. An former intern for Rebuild, Liv has since graduated with a BA in Biology and Environmental Studies, where they researched the underlying characteristics of resilience at three scales of biological systems. Liv has spent time researching the food system as a critical leverage point for supporting urban resilience. This has included researching and working in Europe's food markets, supporting the research of the South's agricultural communities as well as publishing articles on nature-inspired food systems. In addition to focusing on resilience, Liv is interested in system dynamics, system inequalities and systems change due to the changing climate.
Outside of work, Liv is working on a film series exploring the tension, vulnerability, and local solutions within the global food system.
